Owner of ToothBuds Diamond Head and ToothBuds Kauai, Dr. Goto is a board-certified pediatric dentist with more than 25 years of experience in pediatric dentistry. His mission is to instill a love of dentistry by creating a warm and welcoming environment, fostering long-lasting relationships, and establishing good oral hygiene that will last a lifetime.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Dr. Goto attended Punahou School. He attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and then completed a general practice residency in New York City. After working in Manhattan for eight years, he earned a specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry from Tufts University. He has practiced pediatric dentistry in the State of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Hawaii.
He is a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Hawaii Dental Association. He has been named one of Hawaii’s best pediatric dentists by Honolulu Magazine every year since returning to Hawaii in 2012.
Dr. Goto previously worked at Hawaii Family Dental in Lihu’e and has family roots tied to the west side of Kauai, spending summers there during his childhood with his grandparents in Kalaheo. When enjoying his free time, Dr. Goto is often seen honing his skills on the golf course and tennis court, or cooking for his family and friends. He and his wife, Dr. Lauren, have two young children.
